UNH Manchester Science Symposium

Manchester, NH – Students in Dr. Sarah Kenick’s General Biochemistry and Principles of Genetics courses at UNH Manchester will be presenting their semester long projects at an upcoming Science Symposium on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the UNH Manchester Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Genetics student projects will review current genetics research and connect that with technology and society. The biochemistry projects will discuss a wide variety of biochemical laboratory techniques with their applications in the "real world" and examples of research that uses the technique. Two of the project topics that will be presented are southern blotting and links between fragile sites and cancer. The projects are all displayed in wikis.
