Dana Biscotti Myskowski Receives UNH Manchester's 2009 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Member Teaching Award

Manchester, NH – Kristin Woolever, Dean of the University of New Hampshire at Manchester announced that Dana Biscotti Myskowski has been named the 2009 recipient of the college’s Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award. Myskowski will be recognized at the college’s commencement proceedings on May 21 at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester.

The adjunct faculty award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the college through demonstrated teaching excellence in a minimum of six undergraduate courses. Dana Biscotti Myskowski began inspiring students enrolled in Communication Arts courses in 2004. She quickly developed the respect of colleagues and students as a teacher, professional, and mentor. Students respond to her enthusiasm and welcome the blend of theory and practice found in courses such as Image and Sound or Scriptwriting. She consistently builds opportunities for students to develop both creative and professional skills. Consider the Pitch Fiesta Mock tail Party. This campus favorite is a “mock tail” party where students pitch their script ideas to the campus community and industry professionals demonstrating presentation, persuasion, promotion and quick thinking skills needed in real life. Her contributions to the college, the communication arts curriculum, and students have made her a valuable member of the college community.

UNH Manchester, the university's urban, commuter college, brings the benefits of a university education to people who live and work in the greater Manchester area. The college’s liberal arts academic core is enhanced by programs in science, business and technology at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Many of the graduates are traditional college-age students, and many have attended classes while working full time and/or raising families. UNH Manchester students span a variety of backgrounds and goals, but share a commitment to academic achievement and play key roles in guiding New Hampshire’s future.

UNH Manchester, UNH's urban campus, offers liberal arts and applied majors in business, science, and technology, all with an urban focus. UNH Manchester is UNH. Learn more at www.unhm.unh.edu.
