Interdisciplinary Programs Prepare Students for the 21st Century
Manchester, NH – The 21st Century is here and with it unique demands and opportunities for success. On Thursday, October 15 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM high school students and others looking to complete their college degree are invited learn how a degree in English, history, or humanities from UNH Manchester provides students with an extra career advantage.
Success in the 21st Century will demand more than subject knowledge. People with the ability to communicate effectively, to think critically and creatively, the capacity to master new knowledge, and the skill to integrate a breadth of perspectives will be able to adapt to the challenges of our fast-changing world. Graduates of the programs in English, history, and humanities gain subject knowledge and the skills that will prepare them for life-long learning and achievement.
The Open House features faculty, students and alumni of these interconnected, interdisciplinary programs. They will share their experiences and information about the advantages available at UNH Manchester including campus resources, undergraduate research, and internship opportunities and how a degree in English, history or humanities prepared them for careers after graduation.
