For Tutoring and Study Group help sessions, all students should do the following, before getting help:

1. Read notes and relevant sections of the textbook.
2. Attempt homework problems.

Individual Tutoring Sessions (usually in the Center for Academic Enrichment):
Students may have a once-a-week, one hour, one-on-one tutor session with a professional or peer tutor. You may schedule appointments at the front desk of the Center for Academic Enrichment or by calling 641-4113. You can also e-mail us at Center for Academic Enrichment. If you are unable to keep your tutoring appointment, call the Center for Academic Enrichment as soon as possible to reschedule. Please be considerate of the tutor's time.

Math Drop-In - Spring 2008 (see schedule below):
Located in the Center for Academic Enrichment, Room 104: starting Tuesday, January 16, 2007. This is not usually a one-to-one session. Students from a variety of different math and statistics courses could be in attendance. A professional tutor will be assisting students with homework questions at levels up to Calculus I (Math 425). At some sessions, peer math tutors will also be helping. The Interim Assistant Director of the Center for Academic Enrichment, Michael Chandler, will usually be working with a student on one problem, and then assisting the next student. This is also an opportunity for students to work together on problems. Note: If a course study group is being held during a drop-in time, students are expected to attend the study group.

No appointment is necessary to attend. You can just "drop-in".

Study Groups (various locations, see schedule below):
The major focus is on current homework for the designated course. Prior to quizzes and exams, we will review relevant material. One-to-one tutoring might occur if attendance is low.

Individual appointments with professional and peer tutors are available in addition to study groups. Stop by the Center for Academic Enrichment in room 104 or call 641-4113 to schedule appointments.
