Commencement is an opportunity to publicly celebrate the academic achievements of our graduates and we welcome the opportunity to share this occasion with our students' family and friends. We hope this is an enjoyable and memorable occasion. 3:00 p.m. Graduating students meet at the Center of NH to begin lining up
3:00 p.m. General seating begins for guests

From Boston
Take route 93N to route 293N left hand exit (off route 93). After Brown Ave. exit, stay to right as 293 bears right. Stay on 293 to second exit (Exit #5/ Granite Street). Turn right off ramp, go through two sets of lights. Hotel Garage is on the left.
From the Seacoast
Take route 95S to route 101W to route 93S to route 293N. Follow directions from above.
From Vermont
Take route 89S to route 93S to route 293S, exit #6. The exit will circle around and over the Amoskeag Bridge. Stay right, take first exit ( Canal Street). Follow Canal Street about one mile (8 lights) to Granite Street (Bus Terminal is on your left) Go left on Granite Street, Hotel Garage is on the left.
Hotel Accommodations & Dining
Visit the Manchester Area College Consortium for information about local hotel accommodations and dining. Their website is manchesterareacolleges.com.
Parking
Parking is available in the Center of New Hampshire Garage. The entrance is on Granite Street.
Special Needs
Students were asked to provide us with information regarding accommodations for themselves or their guests. Please contact us anytime before the ceremony so we can best assist you. UNH Security Officers and ushers will be available during the ceremony to offer additional assistance. Contact the Commencement Committee at 641-4306 or kim.wall@unh.edu.
Photography
Family and friends are welcome to photograph their graduates at the ceremony. However, we ask that you take photos from your seat or in the designated photo area to the right of the stage. A professional photographer will be available in the Expo Room from 2:00 - 3:00 and from the end of the ceremony - 8:00 pm to take photos of graduates with family and friends. They will also take photos of graduates as they receive their diploma on stage. The photos will be available to purchase on a password protected website.
Guest tickets
Seating for commencement is limited. Guests will be required to present a ticket for seating. Guests who do not have tickets are welcomed to stand. Students who filed a commencement participation form by April 25th are eligible to receive four guest tickets for the ceremony. Depending on availability, three additional tickets per student may be available the week of May 12th on a first come, first serve basis.
Strollers, carriages and large carriers will not be permitted in the seating area. Guests may leave their strollers at an attended check area or may relinquish their seat for the standing area where they may be accompanied by their strollers.
UNH Memorabilia
The UNH Alumni Association Marketplace (800-891-1195) offers official diploma frames and class rings. The marketplace also offers a wide assortment of UNH memorabilia from sweatshirts to caps to clocks to chairs all of which will be available the night of commencement.
