College is a time of transition. Families can be a big help as students get used to this new and exciting learning environment. New college students can expect to spend less time in classrooms but much more time doing independent work outside of class. There will be less structure to their day so they will have to do a good job of managing their time. Just because they don't have to be in a class doesn't mean they don't have lots of work to do!

Even students who have transferred from another college will need to adjust to expectations of new faculty members. Fortunately, UNH Manchester's small size and emphasis on personal attention make it easy for students to get to know the faculty and staff and to get help when they need it.

Here are some of the resources available to UNH Manchester undergraduate students.
