Ask a Student Ambassador

In addition to meeting with the college's Admissions Representatives, the UNH Manchester's college's student ambassador program connects you with current UNH Manchester students. Ambassadors are available by email and are on campus weekly to meet with candidates students and their families and give tours of our campus.

Who studies at UNH Manchester?

Each year more than 1600 students attend classes at UNH Manchester. Our college welcomes undergraduate and graduate students with diverse backgrounds and interests. The student population is composed of a unique mix of traditional-age college students and older adults. Our classes reflect the region's rich cultural, economic, and ethnic diversity including a number of international students.

The majority of our students are traditional-age, 18 to 24 years old, who have recently graduated from high school or were homeschooled. Many of our students attended other colleges and transferred to our campus to complete their degree. We also welcome non-traditional adult students returning to the classroom after time dedicated to work, raising a family, the military or other responsibilities. Our college is home to a number of non-degree students taking courses for continuing education and career advancement.

UNH Manchester's small classes encourage interaction between faculty and students and offer a range of opportunities for academic excellence, including research, study-abroad, and service learning. Students attend courses full-time and part-time, during the day, in the evening or on Saturdays. Students at UNH Manchester find a place to grow, a place to explore, and a place to enrich their lives and their community.

UNH Manchester is a commuter college and the majority of our students are New Hampshire residents. A few of the college's unique degree programs draw students from other states and qualify for the New England Region Program. The City of Manchester and the Merrimack Valley region serve as an extension of the college's campus providing students with access to a wide variety of educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Students have many housing options available in the area.
