Financial Aid

A college education is one of the most important investments an individual can make in the future. Affordability is an important factor when choosing a college. Approximately 60 percent of our student population receives some sort of financial assistance while in attendance. Financial aid can be used to help cover educational expenses such as tuition, fees, books and living expenses.

The Financial Aid Office at UNH Manchester recognizes that the financial aid process can be confusing. Our highly trained professional staff is here to assist current and prospective UNH Manchester students and their families. We have included helpful links to tips on applying for aid, scholarship information and searches, and important deadline and code information. If you need more information or have any questions, our staff is available to assist students by phone, appointment or walk-in.

Students must complete the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) to be reviewed for financial aid at UNH. Student’s who wish to complete a paper application which can be submitted via US mail can download the form here. The FAFSA asks for information regarding the student and the student's parents' financial
situation if the student is considered as a dependent according to the FAFSA definitions.

Students must meet the following basic federal financial aid eligibility requirements:

  • Enrollment in a degree program
  • Attend classes at least half-time (6 or more credits per semester)
  • Documentation of United States citizenship or eligible non-citizen status.
